MANILA, Philippines -- Arellano University prevailed over San Beda-B,108-94, last Saturday in the 13th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup basketball tournament at the Arellano University gymnasium in Legarda, Manila.
Renz Luis Alcoriza came up with another great performance, hitting 18 points to lead the Chiefs to their fourth straight win in Group A of the senior division.
Xavier School also emerged unbeaten with Kyle Ong drilling in 29 points for the Golden Stallions in their 81-70 crushing of the University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas in Group B of the junior division.
The Golden Stallions moved into the solo lead with their fourth consecutive victory.
In other matches, San Beda-A won over University of Perpetual Help, 69-60, while University of Santo Tomas drew nine points from Luis Salvador and beat Angeles University Foundation, 69-64 in the senior action.
In the junior side, Philippine Cultural College stopped Lyceum, 64-62, with John Santos making 14 points.
Holy Cross-Pampanga swamped St. Jude College, 81-59.
