MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the 26th annual Yakult 10-Miler slated May 24 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines is ongoing.
Yakult Phils., Inc. is staging the country’s longest-running 10-miler with a 5K and 3K as side events starting and ending at the CCP grounds in Pasay.
Registration for the event supported by Mizuno starts today at the following Mizuno outlets: Trinoma Mall, 916-6495; SM Megamall, 954-2066; Bonifacio High Street, 856-1432 and at SM Mall of Asia, 954-2407.
Registration fees are P500 for the 16K run; P400 for the 5K and P300 for the 3K run inclusive of a running singlet issued upon registration. All finishers will receive an additional finisher’s t-shirt and a bottle of Yakult, the unique health drink with lacto bacilli shirota strain.
Cash prizes plus trophies and Yakult gift packs await the top five finishers of the 16K run. The 5K and 3K top three finishers will receive medals and Yakult gift packs.
Although the 3K run is open to individuals 6 years and above, top finisher awards will only be for kids 6-9 and 10-12 years old.
In last year’s silver edition, Elphiz Kepngetich led a 1-2-3 Kenyan finish in the 16K run with a time of 48 minutes, 51 seconds.
Cindy Lorenzo of Dasmariñas, Cavite prevented a Kenyan sweep by ruling the distaff division in 1:08.27.
