TriUnited season kicks off in Subic

MANILA, Philippines - The new season of Unilab Active Health’s (ULAH) TriUnited series will begin at the Subic Bay Freeport March 1 with TriUnited 1 firing off at 6 a.m. at the Dungaree Beach.

Organized by BikeKing headed by Raul Cuevas, the event is composed of a sprint distance course of 750M swim-20K bike-5K run and a more challenging standard distance course of 1.5K swim-40K bike-10 K run for the more seasoned triathletes.

The swim is set at the waters of Dungaree beach followed by a new and still flat bike course that will stretch out to Argonaut Highway and Rizal Drive for the turning point before heading back to the transition area near the beach.

The run course this time around will be composed of 2.5 km loops (compared to last year’s 5 km loops) which participants negotiate before going back to the main venue where the finish line is set.

At stake is P40,000 in total cash prizes with P10,000 each to be awarded to the elite male and elite female champions.

Meanwhile, the top 3 male and female winners in the age groups and team categories will receive medals and giftpacks.

The Top 3 winners in the team competition will receive specially designed trophies, medals and giftpacks.
