MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Bay Summer Seasports Festival braces for another explosive two-day motorboat racing action with the country’s leading teams expected to vie for top honors when the event is held on March 14-15 in Manila Bay.
Top clubs and university teams have been invited to joint the event presented by the Manila Broadcasting Company and City of Manila in cooperation with the Philippine Coast Guard before another banner crowd at the Baywalk area along Roxas Blvd.
Races from all over the country will compete in stock and formula races, traditionally dominated by boatmen from Batangas, Cavite, La Union, Pangasinan, Mindoro, Iloilo and Aklan. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. For details, call 0921-7236658.
Olympic rowers, Southeast Asian Games medalists and members of the national team are expected to see action in the event, which also features the men’s Open, women’s Open, and mixed Open 500-meter dragon boat competitions.
