MANILA, Philippines - The Petron Blaze 100 KF Karting Super Series kicks off tomorrow at the Carmona Racetrack in Cavite with fierce action expected as Carmona Circuit Philippines marks its 24th staging of the country’s premier karting series.
AAP steward Jun Espino will declare the new season open in simple rites to be followed by the parade of participating karters in the event sponsored by Petron, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4, Petron XCS, Petron Ultron, Petron Xtra, Petron Sprint, and Yokohama, the official tires.
CCP project manager Rose Feria said this year’s staging will focus on the youth billed as the “future champions of Philippine karting” with more programs lined up, particularly in the Mini-ROK XCS, the KF Restricted Petron Blaze 100, Formula Cadet Novice Ultron and Formula Cadet Expert Ultron classes.
Backing the program is Jean Marc Freihuber, team owner of Urban Karting Racing team who’s conducting weekly clinics in Makati to ensure the continuous transition of karters.
Bianca Bustamante of Formula-E racing, defending champion Flynn Jackes and Bobby Redpath of Team Kart Master Drakar of Singapore, and Eduardo Coseteng of Eagle Cement clashed in tight finishes in the Mini-ROK XCS division last year.
