MANILA, Philippines - A TV show host and a seasoned long-distance Fil-Am rider are joining the Cannonball 1000, a novel motorsports event featuring cars and motorcycles traversing the scenic routes of North Luzon covering 1,000 kms in 24 hours.
Danby Henares, host of the TV show Xtreme Riders and Fil-Am Rene Marquez are the early participants to the Cannonball 1000 slated on Jan. 9, 2015.
Henares will be using his KTM Adventure 1190, while the US-based Marquez will be leading the Fil-Am Riders in the Cannonball Group Event.
The Cannonball 1000 flagship event is open to all cars and motorcycles 301 cc and above and is organized by six-time endurance champion Joey Almeda.
