MANILA, Philippines - The Iriga City bets dominated the girls’ division in the Cebuana Lhuillier age-group tennis championships leg, sweeping all three categories in Legaspi City recently.
Harvey Vincent Alanis trounced Naga City’s Nolan Gagalac, 6-2, 6-0, and Esmond John Roman, 6-1, 6-0, to pocket the boys’ 16- and 18-and-Under crowns, respectively.
Glydel Guevara sparked Iriga’s run by thumping Andrika Anne Idioma, 6-1, 6-1, in the 12-and-U finals; Patricia Corporal swept Zia Arcanghel, 6-0, 6-0, for the 14-and-U diadem; and Nica Alanis downed Corporal, 6-0, 6-1, to clinch the 18-and-U plum.
Gagalac rebounded in the 14-and-U class, foiling Iriga’s Jan Harold Trillanes, 6-2, 6-2; while Jennard Gonzales also defeated Trillanes, 6-2, 6-4, to nail the 12-and-U title in the event backed by Dunlop Sports.
Ligao City’s Julius Ceasar Gonzales dominated Iriga’s Mark Egipto, 4-0, 4-0, to pocket the 10-and-U unisex crown.
