MANILA, Philippines - Zachary Castro, Princess Pascua and Joshua Cole Cruz emerged as winners in the lower divisions of the recent Philippine Golf Foundation Junior Masters national finals at the Aoki course of the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite.
Castro was a 7&5 winner over Andrew Chua in the final of the boys 7-8 years where Pascua hacked out a 2&1 decision over Anya Cedo for the girls plum.
Cruz squeaked past Miko Granada 2 up in their battle for the boys 6 years and under crown.
The excitement in the lower age-groups complemented the intense battles in the older categories of the four-day culmination of the series conducted by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines.
Javi Lazatin beat Vince Tiamsic for third place in the boys 7-8 years while Charles Sedena edged Mark Scozzafava for third in the boys 6 under.
Theresa dela Paz was the third placer in the girls 7-8 years bracket in the tourney that capped the ICTSI-JGFP Summer Circuit.
