MANILA, Philippines - Starting on June 3, United Football League matches will be shown four times a week by television partner Sports 5 on Aksyon TV.
Aksyon TV will show UFL matches from Tuesday to Friday, giving Filipino football fans more chances of seeing the cream of the crop of Phl soccer.
Despite the change of airing dates, the UFL schedule remains unchanged with First Division matches still set every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.
The Team Socceroo-Stallion FC duel on Tuesday will be aired on a delayed basis with the same being applied to Thursday’s first game between Army-General Trias International and powerhouse Global.
All second games of Tuesdays and Thursday’s will be aired live on Aksyon TV at 8 p.m.
UFL president Randy Roxas welcomed the development.
“We want the UFL to become a nightime habit for our fans, so showing televised games four nights a week during primetime will certainly help grow our fan base,†said Roxas.
