Registration is ongoing for the week-long event set May 12-17 with the country’s leading players and rising stars tipped to headline the stellar cast in the 10-unisex, 12-, 14-, 16- and 18-and-under categories for boys and girls.

“While this is part of our commitment to support the sport and at the same time develop our players by providing top-notch tournaments like this, this event also serves as our thanksgiving for our patrons who have been supporting through the years,†said Palawan Pawnshop COO Bobby Castro.
To maximize the participants’ stay in Puerto Princesa, Castro said they would also be treated to a tour of the city, including a visit to the world famous Underground River.
Castro added they expect a talent-laden field to compete, this being a Group 2 tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association headed by president and Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez.
“We expect no less than a fierce battle for supremacy in all categories and we hope to discover and tap fresh talents who can be developed and trained for future national pool,†said Olivarez.
Meanwhile, the circuit goes to Cebu for the next leg on May 19-24 at Mactan Airbase in Lapu-Lapu with the Consolacion Tennis Club in Laray, also in Cebu, to host the next stop on May 26-31.
The chase for top honors and ranking points will then shift to Paranaque at the Olivarez Sports Center on June 12-17 while Sultan Kudarat will stage the next leg on June 20-24 at the Isulan Capitol Tennis Club.
