MANILA, Philippines - Over 3,000 runners are expected to compete Sunday for honors in the fifth Batangas Run for Wellness dubbed Karipasan 2014, staged to benefit educational communities hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
Events on tap are 3K, 5K and 10K with the gun start set at 6 a.m. infront of the Lima Park Pavilion inside the Lima Technology Center in Malvar, Batangas.
Organized by the Faith College of Nursing and Lima Park Hotel, the annual event is held as part of the institute’s continuing commitment to community-building, benefiting the needy sectors like cancer-stricken children. It also serves as one of Lima Park Hotel’s programs to promote sports and wellness tourism as part of the Bisita Batangas campaign.
