MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo banked on Joma Adornado and Jerie Pingoy in the crunch as the Blue Eagles downed the St. Benilde Blazers, 70-60, in the 11th Fr. Martin Cup Division 2 basketball tournament at the San Beda gym in Mendiola last Sunday.
Adornado and Pingoy hit a triple each in the last 2:13 as the Blue Eagles rallied from 43-47 down to beat Blazers and post their second victory in three games.
Cameroonian Chibueze Ikeh led Ateneo with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
