Top drivers push title bids at Clark Field

MANILA, Philippines - Top contenders go all out to to push their title bids as the 2013 Petronas Philippine Motorsports Championships Season stages the fourth legs of the 2013 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Series, the 2013 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championships and the 2013 Philippine Underbone King Championships today at the Clark International Speedway.

Phenomenal teen ace rider Dashi Watanabe of Aprilia seeks to extend his winning streak to four to widen his solo leadership over defending champion Raniel Resuello of Ducati RAR Castrol Motolite Racing Team in the Superbikes Expert class.

The 2013 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Series is sanctioned by Superbikes Racing Association (SBRA,) sponsored by Petronas, Bridgestone as the official Superbikes tires and media partners Racing Beat @ Wave 89.1, Inside Motoring @ DZRJ810khz and Motorsiklo Xklusibo @ DZME 1530.

John Lery Enriquez and Tracy Soyangco likewise aim to prevail anew in the 2013 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championships and the 2013 FDR Philippine Underbone King Championships, respectively, which are both sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooters Racing Association (USRA) and supported by FDR as the official tires.

The first three legs saw the lackluster performance from the three reigning titlists of two-wheel racing – Superbikes champ Raniel Resuello, Scooters champ Miko Erich Montano – and face tough pressures of dominating the last three races to stay on course for a back-to-back title bid.

Watanabe and his Aprilia continues to dominate the Superbikes scene with three consecutive triumphs and another win will take him a step closer to the coveted Overall Superbikes plum.
