Surprises galore in Circuit Showdown Round 5

MANILA, Philippines - Jonnie Pineda, Rafael La’O and Borek Fallorin topped their respective grids in the fifth round of GT Radial-Circuit Showdown at the Batangas Racing Circuit recently.

In a great day of racing filled with surprises, Pineda came out first in Grid C followed by AJ Lacambra and Michael Yap.

Grid B had a lot of excitement over the 10-lap distance with Fallorin coming out on top, followed by Niño Garcia and Patrick Mendoza.

La ‘O showed what brute power can do by taking first place ahead of Ferdie Sia and Michael Maristela in Grid A.

Carlos Anton submitted the fastest time of the day in his Honda CRX in  1.44.950.

The Bracket A top three were Raffy David, Grid racer Ferdie Sia and Eggy Ong.

In Bracket B, first place went to Michael Bryan Co using GT Radial tires, while Jeff Roxas-Chua and Andrew de Asis checked in at second and third, respectively.

Bracket C winners were Michael Maristela, Eugene Uyboco and Alan Arguelles.

Bracket D was ruled by AJ Lacambra, Marvin Pizarro and Allan Kitz Ferrer – all on GT Radial tires – in that order. The top three places in Bracket E were annexed by Gian Mark Santiguel, Leo Candava and Toby Santiago. Capturing the podium in Bracket F were Alking de la Cruz, Eugene Alonzo and Dino de los Santos.

The sixth round of the GT Radial Circuit Showdown, supported by GT Radial, Staging Lanes Las Piñas, HKS Super Oil, Dixcel, Rota Wheels, Monster Energy Drink, Walter Lights n Sounds, Aguila Auto Glass, Maxspeed, Hardrace, Foil A Car, Runstop Rotors, Egghead and PhilGerma, is Aug. 3.
