MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance will hold a five-cock special derby on July 9 with top entries from the country’s leading cockers and breeders clashing at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The accepted weights for the upcoming NCA derbies are 1.700 to 2.200 kgs with no entry allowed to submit more than two weights that is within 1.7 to 1.730 kg for the bottom weight, and 2.170 to 2.2 kg for the top weight.
The accepted bands are NGBA, GF, MIGBA, SGBA, BBC, PAGBA, RGBA, CVBA, LGBA, and UNIGBA.
To ensure that only legitimate stags will be entered, participants must submit before the day of the derby the copy of the inspection report from the association which banded their stags.
Before the leg-banding of the stags on the day of the derby, stags must first be examined by a committee headed by Johnny Jalandoni of Negros Occidental.
All NCA derbies are sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor.
Meanwhile, the Sept. 10 derby will be hosted by Rene Medina, Ito Ynares (two entries), Bebot Uy and Johnny Jalandoni with the NCA set to hold a seven-stag Big Event on Oct. 29.
