Archers-United Globe nips PachangaDiliman in UFL

MANILA, Philippines - Skipper Christian Floriano Pasilan, Jr. unloaded a brace to lift Green Archers United-Globe to a 2-1 victory over PachangaDiliman FC and save its spot in the first division of the United Football League at the McKinley Hill grounds in Taguig Saturday.

Pasilan delivered in both halves, the first on the 41st minute for the early lead and the second on the 72nd to give the Archers a two-goal cushion.

Ernest Appiah kept PachangaDiliman alive by uncorking a brilliant goal on the 80th but GAU held on the rest of the way to preserve the victory.

The win extended the Archers’ unbeaten streak to five as they improved their total to 21 match points on six wins and three draws against eight defeats.

More importantly, the sixth-running GAU, in danger of being relegated to the second division before its streak, assured its place in the first division next season.
