MANILA, Philippines - The four-cock Battle of Champions will be held May 20 at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque.
Promoted by businessman-sportsman Johnny Elorde, the derby has a guaranteed prize P300,000. Entry fee is P11,000. The handler and the gaffer of the winning entry will receive P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.
Top breeders and cockfighting aficionados are expected to participate. Weights required are 1.8-2.4 kg. Submission and declaration of weights will be a day before the fight.
Meanwhile, the one-cock ulutan fastest kill continues every Monday and Tuesday. The first five fights to finish will receive P2,000 each, sixth to 10th fights P1,500 each and the 11th fight to finish P1,000.
