Altas stay on track

MANILA, Philippines - Joel Jolangcob led the charge as University of Perpetual Help nipped St. Clare College, 55-51, to stay on track for a semis berth in the 19th Fr. Martin Summer Cup basketball tournament at the Trinity University of Asia gymnasium in QC.

Jolangcob fired 22 points, capping his heroics with four clutch freethrows in the endgame as the Altas secured the win and caught up with National U on top of Group A.

Fatima University Phoenix pulled the rug from under Letran Knights, 94-86 to boost their bid in Group A while their junior team made it a double victory with a big 87-52 mangling of Ateneo Blue.
