MANILA, Philippines - Brothers Milo and Estefano Rivera racked up seven titles between themselves to lead the roster of karting achievers in the 10th Golden Wheel Awards Night at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino of the Cultural Center of the Phils. recently.

Milo Rivera, 17, took the perpetual trophies for winning the 2012 International Senior Karter of the Year and the 2012 KF2 titles. He also claimed the first runner-up trophy in the ROK Senior category during Philippine motorsports’ blue-ribbon event.

The 16-year-old Estefano, on the other hand, emerged as the karter with the most awards won in a single season, copping four perpetual trophies as the Junior Karter of the Year, International Junior Karter of the Year, KF3 champion and the ROK Junior champion.

“Though we didn’t win the Karter the Year plum, our seven awards proved to be more than what we previously targeted,” said Milo Rivera.

“To win the Karter of the Year award is the ultimate goal of every karter. But what mattered was our overall performance and its impact on the future of the sport,” said Estefano Rivera.

This marked the fourth straight year that the Fern C Racing bets, both students of Don Bosco, clinched top honors for their karting feats.
