Sacha, Cabrera try mettle vs big guns in karting

MANILA, Philippines - Lady karter Sacha Feliciano and fast-rising Seaoil-DC-Kilton bet Gabriel Tayao-Cabrera brace for tough outing as they move up to higher classes against the top guns in the Sorteo Grand Prix 2013 Coca-Cola KF2-KF3 Cup Series today at the Carmona Racetrack.

Feliciano will go up against top favorites Karter of the Year VJ Suba, defending KF2 champion Milo Rivera and last year’s Junior Karter of the Year Estefano Rivera of Fern-C Racing and CJ Tsui of Formula E Racing in the premier KF2 division of the event held in cooperation with the Municipality of Carmona as part of the week-long Sorteo Festival festivities.

Two ace Japanese drivers from the top factory team Kuwayama Racing – Yuta Fukushima and Matthew Molinaro – will also see action in the KF2 grid that also includes veteran Bobby Domingo, Daniel Miranda of Cebuana-Lhuillier and Lean Linao.

Tayao-Cabrera, who recently signed up as the newest and lone Filipino recruit of Japan’s top and most popular factory racing team Kosmic, joins the hunt in the KF3 category which features a crack field that includes RR Suba, Jaz Monzones of Formula-E Racing, Wayne Darvin of One Racing and sensational young ace Raymond Cudala of FERN-C Racing.

Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola will grace the opening and awards rites.

Other events on tap are the Mini-ROK, Yamaha Novice, Yamaha Expert, Formula Cadet Novice, Formula Cadet Expert and in the SQ Novice, Expert, and Veteran divisions.

Defending Mini-ROK Flynn Jackes of TRS Karting Kids goes for the crown against Tai Zulberti of CityKart, Adam Bondoc, Dylan Arambulo FERN-C Racing, Draeco McLelland and Mickey Jordan.
