MANILA, Philippines - A brand-new Toyota Vios will be staked as hole-in-one prize in the Southern Ladies golf tournament, which holds its golden staging Feb. 6-8 at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro.
The 1.3J Limited car will be up for grabs at Hole No. 6, according to the sponsoring Toyota Motor Phils. and organizing National Golf Association of the Phils.
Mizuno is also putting up an Efil ladies golf set for an ace at Hole No. 2 in the 54-hole championship sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission, Security Bank, DPC Yellow Pages, Hans Brumann International Jeweller and WWWExpress (trophies).
Princess Superal braces for a tough outing as she seeks a second straight championship against a field teeming with talent. It includes fellow ICTSI-The Country Club members Sarah Ababa, Abby Arevalo and Sofia Chabon along with club bets Anna Roa, Teri Solitaria, and jungolfers Marvi Monsalve and Daniella Uy.
Also in the fold is the crack Del Monte team made up of Apple Fudolin, Eva Miñoza, Kristine Leonen, Rainstar Roque, Martina Miñoza and Pamela Mariano along with Southwoods’ Annika Cedo, Navy’s Harmie Constantino and Orchard’s Medy Agustin.
The individual championship will be held under the Molave scoring system while the team event, a four-to-play, three-to-count tournament, and the seniors divisions will use the Stableford system (net of handicap).
The NGAP is also inviting past Open champions to join the 50th staging of the annual event, which also features the leading players from the country’s top clubs, including Aguinaldo, Cebu Country Club, Davao, Riviera, Valley Golf, WackWack and Forest Hills.
