MANILA, Philippines - Aries Suaverde, Lorenzo Hipol and Ronald Marquez emerged the top finishers in the Waldorf Trail Run held at the nature trails of Timberland Heights in San Mateo, Rizal Saturday.
Suaverde was the best of the best, topping the 10k event in 43 minutes and nine seconds followed by Hipol in 51 minutes and Marquez in 54 minutes and 48 seconds.
Danilo Dapitan and Reynaldo Ricafranca reigned supreme in their respective categories in this mountaintop run staged to raise fund for the ongoing improvement of sports facilities of Waldorf School.
Dapitan ruled the 5k run at 26:54, followed by Charles Bitoon at 29:13 and Jose Arcega at 29:34 while Ricafranca topped the 3k run at 25:28, followed by Kinno Viarat at 29:28 and Justin Morente at 31:23.
Organized by Waldorf School and presented by Timberland Heights, the nature-themed event was backed by Runners Runner and R.O.X. and media partner The Philippine STAR.
The event provided an enjoyable trail route amid rolling hills, forested valleys, terraced farms and unpolluted fresh air at about 300 meters above sea level.
