MANILA, Philippines – Richard Del Rosario has stepped down as head coach of the College of St. Benilde Blazers in the NCAA, ending a four-year term.
Del Rosario shared the announcement in his Twitter account (@charddelrosario).
“My beloved Blazers, it's been an honor going to battles with you. Keep fighting! Hope my resignation gets you the attention you deserve,†tweeted Del Rosario, who leaves the NCAA with a 22-47 win-loss record.
The Blazers had a dismal finish in the recently concluded NCAA season 88, ending up at ninth place with a 5-13 slate.
Del Rosario, who is also an assistant coach for San Mig Coffee in the PBA, is the fourth NCAA coach to resign this season after Topex Robinson (San Sebastian), Louie Alas (Letran) and Chito Victolero (Mapua).
He took over the Blazers in 2009, replacing Gee Abanilla.
