Eagle Ridge’s Fore by Four fires off today

MANILA, Philippines - Two hundred member-guest teams take a crack at the many prizes up for grabs in the Fore By Four Invitational golf tournament of the giant Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club today and tomorrow in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Shotgun teeoffs for both days are set at 8 a.m. with the teams playing a round each either at Norman and Dye courses or Faldo and Aoki depending on their combined handicaps.

Topping the prizes  are the two Toyota Vios cars that will go to a lucky member and his/her invited guest during the raffle after the two-day tourney where more than a million worth of merchandise items are to be given away.

Another Vios will be at stake as a hole-in-one prize put up by Toyota Balintawak and Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. on designated par-3s also for both days.

The other sponsors are Citibank, Purefoods, San Miguel, Pepsi, Makkoli, Aviver Int’l, Wealth Inc., G&W Club Shares, L.G Electronics, Microtel, Rizgolf, New Megafiber, Canon Philippines, Industrial Waste Systems Inc., and Cocoon Eyewear.

The field will be competing for six handicap divisions according to averages. These are Class A for 0 to 10.9, Class B for 11 to 15.9, Class C for 16 to 21.9, Class D for 22 and above, the ladies division and the guest division.

The course assignments are Norman and Dye for Class A, Aoki and Faldo for Class B, Norman and Dye for Class C and guests and Aoki and Faldo for Class D.
