MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Amusements and Gaming Corporation is throwing its full support to public school children through the Philippine Swimming League’s “Adopt-a-School” program.
Pagcor, under new chairman and chief executive officer Cristino Naguiat, recently donated school materials to the Bernabe Elementary School on the occasion of the 28th PSL swimming championships at the Pasay City Sports Complex.
School principal and Pasay City Swimming Association head Nunilon Moreno is the latest beneficiary of the outreach program undertaken by the PSL in coordination with Pagcor and the Diliman Preparatory School.
Over 500 swimmers from various parts of the country – Cagayan Valley, Baguio, Bataan, Angeles City, Bulacan, Bicol, Batangas, Lucena, Cavite, Mindoro, Palawan, Marikina, Antipolo, Caloocan, Navotas and Pasay – competed in the event hosted by the city government and Pasay City Swmming Association.
Public school swimmers Kyle Libat, Maria Siso, Abdul Reahim Nooh, Angelica May Medranao and Efren Lapira Jr. were among the gold medalists of the age group competition.
