MANILA, Philippines - Oveer 500 golfers are expected to compete in the 13th Don Celso Tuason and Valley Founders’ Cup tournaments slated at the championship and north courses of the Valley golf complex, according to Romeo Ricardo, president of Valley Golf and Country Club, Inc.
He also said that close to P5 million worth of prizes will be at stake in the four-day event held in honor of Don Celso Tuason, founder of the Valley course which had hosted a number of Philippine Open championships.
Major sponsors of the tournament are Smart Communications and ARMS Corp., among others.
According to Raymond Raquel, chairman of the organizing committee, among the hole-in-one prizes are a Mitsubishi Lancer EX, a Mitsubishi Strada AT, a Mistubishi ASX GLS and Mitsubishi Montero Sport AT, a Club Car, as well as Texas Eagle and Yamaha golf carts.
Also taking place during the tournament is the Valley Golf and Country Club’s first mini golf show featuring golf equipment and accessories from Callaway Odyssey, Mizuno, Taylormade, Nike, Tourstage, Titleist and Cobra. All participating brands will offer their products at special discounted prices from April 21-29.
