Korean, Japanese judges to grace All-Breed shows

MANILA, Philippines - Moi Moonjeong of the Korean Kennel Club (KKC) and Yashusi Shimazaki of the Japan Canine Union (JCU) will grace the 49th and 50th All-Breed Dog Shows of the Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines, Inc. (AKCUPI) on Sunday at the People’s Village of Tiendesitas in Pasig City.

Moonjeong, a KKC all-breed judge since 2009, has also adjudicated in handling and grooming competitions. She has bred German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Samoyeds and Pomeranians.

On the other hand, Shimazaki, a JCU all-breed judge and adjudicated at the FCI (Spain) International All-Breed Dog Shows, has been an active member of the Japanese Dog Preservation Society since 1977 and won many prizes in JKC.

The judges will select their respective sets of the best baby puppy, best Philippine born and best in show from among the seven breed groupings that will be fielded during the event.

The event precedes the club’s fourth anniversary on March 30. 

AKCUPI chairman/president and FCI Asia-Pacific head Henry Babiera is inviting all dog lovers to the show expected to draw exhibitors from Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
