MANILA, Philippines - AKTV will telecast the 2012 WNCAA Cheerleading Championships on IBC13 at 7 tonight with the University of Asia & the Pacific Dragons, the CEU Scorpions and the Miriam College Katipuneras heading the cast at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Others vying for the championship are the AC Roebacks, the CKSC Lady Dragons, CSB Blazers, the DLSZ Green Archers, the EAC Generals, LCCM Blue Royals, LPU Lady Pirates, LSC Voyagers, MC Katipunera, PWU Patriots, RTU Blue Thunder, SBCA Red Lions, SSC Scions, St. Jude Catholic School, St. Stephen’s High School, St. Paul College Pasig, and St. Pedro Poveda College.
The WNCAA is the country’s first and only existing tri-level all-women sports league in the country.
The cheerleading competition also caps the 42nd WNCAA hosted by Rizal Technological University.
This also marked the first year that the league has partnered with AKTV, which aired weekly highlights and results of basketball, futsal and volleyball action.
AKTV on IBC 13 is the first free-to-air sports channel that also airs the PBA, the United Football League (UFL) and soon the 2012 London Olympics.
