MANILA, Philippines - Roy “The Punisher” Docyogen produced another spectacular win over the weekend to stay perfect in 10 fights in the Colt 45-URCC Baguio Battleground IV at the Baguio Convention Center in Baguio City.
Quick and strong, the 5-foot-5 Docyogen of Lakay Wushu needed just four minutes, 55 seconds to beat Rodel “Kid” Orais via a Kimura arm lock in their Superfight – the featured match in the 10-fight event presented by Colt 45 and organized by the Universal Reality Combat Championship, the leading mixed martial arts (MMA).
The reigning URCC pinweight champion was in full control of the match as he used his wushu-style of fighting to tag his rival with heavy blows to the head and body before delivering the coup de grace in their 10-minute, two-round encounter to the delight of his provincemates.
Also posting big wins in the event also sponsored by Chris Sports and Bulls Gloves with Solar Sports and Z Radio as media partners were Christian Virtudazo and Davao’s Ricardo Sapno.
Virtudaso needed just 7:44 to score an RSC (referee-stopped contest) win over Christian Gazmin while Sapno stunned local bet Arnold Agapito in their fight for the URCC featherweight title.
Sapno won via a rear naked choke in 6:28 of the first round.
The quickest win for the night was posted by Lakay Wushu’s Dave Galera, who stopped Guzman Piyayas in 1:27 of the first round by armbar.
Also winning their matches were Egly Diaz, Lito Adiwang, Nicolo Espadero, Keiff Mangusan and Will Chope.
Chope triumphed by tap out (punches) over Red Romero in 4:39 of the first round while Adiwang and Espadero scored similar RSC wins over Biyondi Dyandangan and Gioanni Tumitit, respectively. Mangusan and Diaz defeated Roldan Cartagena and Miguel Alo by rear naked choke.
The event is part of the Panagbenga Festival (Flower Festival of Baguio and Cordilleras).
