Adamson guns for 6th straight in UAAP softball

MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University shoots for a sixth straight victory in softball while Far Eastern University (FEU) tries to solidify its grip of the men’s volleyball lead as UAAP Season 74 resumes today in various venues.

The defending champion Lady Falcons are expected to breeze past the Lady Eagles of Ateneo (1-5) in their 9 a.m. game at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.

University of the Philippines, running second with a 5-1 card, tries to stay within striking distance of the leaders when it battles University of Santo Tomas (4-2) at 11 a.m. University of the East (2-4) and De La Salle (0-6) clash in the 1 p.m. game.

The Tamaraws, on the other hand, shoot for their 10th win in 12 matches against the Green Archers (7-4) in the 10:30 a.m. match at the San Juan Arena.

National University (NU), running fifth with a 6-5 card, meanwhile, meets winless UE in the other men’s game at 9 a.m.

The race for Final Four berths in women’s volleyball also heats up with the matches between UST and UE at 2 p.m. and Adamson and FEU at 3:30 p.m.

The Lady Falcons are running third behind De La Salle and Ateneo (9-2) with six wins and five losses, while the Tigresses and Lady Tamaraws each tote 6-4 records.
