MANILA, Philippines - A total 32 teams make up what could be the biggest volleyball tournament yet this year as the 16th season of the Women’s Volleyball League fires off Sunday at the Xavier High School gym.
They will be competing in three divisions starting at 9 am in the tournament organized by the Best Center and supervised by commissioner Florentino “Kid” Santos. Milo is again the event’s main sponsor.
Colegio San Agustin-A will defend its crown in the 13-and-under division against teams from St. Joseph School of Fairview, St. Scholastica’s College, Colegio San Agustin-B, Jubilee Christian Academy, St. Pedro Poveda/School of St. Anthony combine, Assumption-Antipolo, Assumption College, Holy Family School, Immaculate Heart of Mary College and San Beda-Alabang.
Entered in the 17-and-under Developmental Division are Colegio De Sta. Rosa-Makati, Holy Trinity Academy, La Salle College-Antipolo, Philippine Tiong Se Academy, San Antonio de Padua College, School of the Holy Spirit, Escuela de Sophia, OB Montessori Greenhills, St. Joseph School-Fairview and St. Bridget. School, St. Scholastica’s-Westgorve, Assumption, Miriam College, St. Pedro Poveda College, School of St. Anthony, Baesa Adventist Academy, Espiritu Santo Parochial School, St. James Academy, St. Theresa’s College, St. Scholastica’s-Manila, Assumption Antipolo, Immaculate Heart of Mary College and San Beda-Alabang.
Colegio San Agustin will be back to defend the 17-and-under Competitive Division against St. Paul College-Makati, Hope Christian High School, PUWU-JASMS, St. Scholastica’s-Manila, Holy Family School, Immaculate Concepcion Academy and San Beda-Alabang.
