MANILA, Philippines - Lito Zubiri of Duraflex THW Wires rolled 1270 to bag the Group I crown while Malou del Rosario of Firefly-Royu took the Group 2 title with a 1097 in the Architects Bowling Club’s 34th anniversary tournament at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.
Boyet Libiran of Concrete Ventures finished second in Group 1 with 1261 while Francis Figuracion of Crown PVC Pipes had 1066 for runner-up honors in Group 2 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.
Moldex, composed of Ronnie Javier, Hermie Prudente and Denis Jalandoon, combined for 1802 to dominate Group I in team play while Crown Pipes Supreme of Dante Manglicmot, Lito Zubiri and Jun Cheng assembled 1766 for second.
The Group 2 team competition is led by the all-ladies team of Del Rosario, Zeny Prudente and Violy Magsaka of Firefly-Royu, which had an 1808 followed by Nation Paints’ Ariel Uy, Jeffrey Cham and Albert Ong.
Bibs Luzande and Tony Sabater of Miraga Trading scored 1230 to top the Group 1 doubles events followed by Ronnie Javier and Denis Jalandoon who had 1172.
Paul Ayron and Francis Figuracion of Crown Supreme Pipes had 1287 while Frederic Chuongco and Sonny Esguerra had 1,222.
