7 college teams vie in Lim cagefest

Manila, Philippines - Following the highly successful badminton event, basketball takes centerstage today in the RCBC Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim Mini-Olympics Festival at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.

A total of seven collegiate teams are set to see action in the two-week long tournament organized by Fusion Advertising and Manila Inter-Commercial Athletic Association (MICAA) in cooperation with the Manila Sports Council (MASCO) and District I Councilor Niño dela Cruz and MICAA president Roland Lim.

The participating teams are Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, FEATI, St. Clare College, Metro Manila College, Universidad ng Maynila and St. Dominic Savio College.

Masco chair Paul Edward Almario and John Tan president of the organizing Fusion advertisting will lead the ceremonial toss and will declare the tournament open.

Tournament director is Abe Giron while commissioner is Conrado Mercado.
