Milo chess goes to provinces

MANILA, Philippines - The provincial sorties of Milo-sponsored Checkmate chess clinics in Mindanao and in other parts of Luzon begin at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow simultaneously.

The chess clinics will be held at Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Central Elementary School in Davao City; Mondriaan Montessori School in East Tapinac, Olongapo City; Philippine Statesman College on Burgos Ave., Poblacion, Cabanatuan City; Immaculate Conception Academy in Batac, Ilocos Norte; and at Casa del Niño Montessori School in Pacita Complex, San Pedro, Laguna.

Other provincial classes are set on Apr. 25-27 at Angels in Heaven School, Cabuyao, Laguna; St. Paul College, Balayan, Batangas; St. Vincent Academy of Apalit, Pampanga; Tarlac Christian College in Tarlac City; St. Paul College in Ilocos Sur and in San Pablo. 

Schedule on April 28-30 are clinics in Canossa Academy, Lipa City; Little Angel Study Center in East Tapinac, Olongapo City; Garden of Angels Integrated School in Balagtas, Bulacan; Chung Hua Institute in Ilagan, Isabela; Nepo Mall in Dagupan City and in Nasugbu, Batangas.

 In the recently concluded clinic in Cagayan de Oro, the top three enrollees were Janyl dela Cierra, Matthew Añora and Janin Crisologo. Best age-group scorers were: Mary Joy Tan (7-under); Andrew Felisilda (9-under) and dela Cierra (11-under).
