MANILA, Philippines - Far Eastern U stopped STI’s win run as it fashioned out a 64-57 victory in its debut in the Sandugo-Collegiate Development League (CDL) at Rizal Memorial Coliseum recently.
The Tams leaned on Ray Mark Belo, Austin Fabian and Rodel de Leon as they broke away from a tight 31-28 game at the turn to dominate the second half. Belo wound up with 14 points while Fabian and de Leon scored 13 and 9 points, respectively.
The win tied FEU with NCRAA champion Colegio de Sta. Monica for the lead with three wins, counting the Tams’ 73-67 win over Adamson and 82-60 rout over Technological Institute of the Phils. last week.
Ivan Moreno topscored for STI with 13 points.
The Falcons, meanwhile, bounced back to beat TIP, 99-49, as Bon Palma fired 17 points and Jerome Rosal and John Trinidad added 10 points apiece.
Trinity University of Asia, on the other hand, defeated College of St. Benilde Romancon, 82-71.
