MANILA, Philippines - Ducati Manila South, the country’s top dealer of high-end motorcycles and accessories, has made its involvement in sports through sponsorships, particularly to Ducati clubs in the country.
Bong Borja, a business process outsourcing leader and one of the three owners of Ducati Manila South along South Superhighway in Bangkal, Makati, said they have supported the 20-man Ducati Pilipinas club in the last Ironman, and the Ducati Unlimited club in a recent 10-day race through key cities in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
“Ducati Manila South is supporting these kinds of sports events and we’re hoping to lend a hand on some more activities like these in the future,” said Borja, who co-owns the second Ducati store in the country with restaurateur Gamby Lichauco and surgeon Don Ejercito.
Ducati Manila South actually opened last Dec. 11 with hopes of giving the motorcycle-riding public a new full sales and service only a Ducati store can offer.
Aside from carrying the latest models, the store is selling old, vintage type models as well as high-end motorcycle accessories in partnership with Puma and fashion apparel carrying all Ducati original products.
This marks the first time the country has seen a high-end setup from a motorcycle dealer with the store targeting the markets not just in Metro Manila’s southern parts but provinces like Laguna, Cavite, Quezon and the rest of the Bicol region as well.
“We’re targetting the Southern part of Luzon as our market and we hope to reach as far as Bicol,” said Lichauco.
