MANILA, Philippines – Angelo Que shot a two-under 70 and ended up joint 21st in the $600,000 Black Mountain Masters topped by Japanese Tetsuji Hiratsuka via a playoff win over Namchoak Tantipokakul of Thailand at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand yesterday.
Que birdied two of the last six holes to salvage a 34 and a 70, finishing the 72-hole season-ending tournament of the Asian Tour with a seven-under 281.
Hiratsuka closed out with a 71 for a 274 then nipped Tantipokakul on the first playoff hole to capture the crown.
Tantipokakul rallied with a seven-under 65 to force a playoff but fell short of his title bid.
Lee Sung shot a 70 and finished third with erstwhile leader Piya Swangarunporn (73), Kiradech Aphibarnrat (66) and Scott Hend (65) at 285.
