MANILA, Philippines - A full field of 144 players featuring member-member and member-guest teams will see action today when the 2010 Chairman’s Cup fires off at the Sherwood Hills Golf Club in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
The participants of the 18-hole tournament organized by Sherwood Hills specifically for its members, will slug it out for the different division titles and fabulous hole-in-one prizes.
Shotgun tee-off starts 8 a.m.
A Texas Eagle golf cart and a set each from Wilson and Mizuno await the ace makers in the designated par-three holes of the Jack Nicklaus signature layout which was voted as Golf Digest Best Course outside of the US in 2007-2008.

Sherwood Hills chairman Robert Sobrepeña said the Chair’s Cup will be a simple yet vibrant celebration since the member-guest Invitational event will be incorporated in this year’s edition to make it into one big tournament.
Sobrepeña said several food stations will be spread out evenly within the course in the event also backed by Whealth Inc., APGC, Greens N Turf, Interconnect Systems, Isuzu Phils., Nine Coast, Philgreen, Primepower Manpower Services, Rizgolf, Royal Northwoods, Rudy Project, Warbird, and Splendido Taal.
