MANILA, Philippines - The Futures Basketball League (FBL), a school-based grassroots basketball development program supported by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), moves to the next level in the mini and boys’ junior divisions this weekend even as the girls division winds up its elimination round.
This Sunday’s games at the Rizal Coliseum will see the semifinals match between Marist, toting a 3-1 win-loss record, and La Salle Green Hills (1-3) for the right to meet Xavier (4-0) for the championship next week.
The boys’ juniors will have its semifinals match-ups as the four surviving teams from the quarterfinals play one game knockout matches.
Top ranked team Adamson University, which booted out Multiple Intelligence, meets San Benildo at 9:40 a.m. in the first semifinal game while University of Sto. Tomas and San Beda knock each other out at 12:10 p.m.
The lone girls match is between Southville (2-2) and cellar dweller St. Theresa College (0-4) set at 8:30 a.m.
