MANILA, Philippines - Mars Pucay shot a two-under 70 while Tony Lascuna matched par 72 as they wound up joint 35th in the Handa Singapore Classic ruled by South African Peter Karmis at the Orchid Golf and Country Club in Singapore yesterday.
Pucay hit five birdies but stumbled with a double-bogey and a bogey for a 70, finishing with a 72-hole total of 10-under 278. Lascuna, who went under-par in the first three rounds, settled for a 72 on a four-birdie, four-bogey stint. Each got $2,680.
Angelo Que carded his second straight 72 for joint 44th with Juvic Pagunsan, who had a 69, at 279. Each received $1,960.
Artemio Murakami finished at 59th with a 281 after a 70 worth $1,320.
Peter Karmis held off compatriot Jbe Kruger’s final round charge to clinch the win at 21-under 267 after a 71. He won $63,400.
Kruger shot a 69 for a 269 while Pariya Junhasavasdikul of Thailand finished solo third with a 270 after a 68.
