MANILA, Philippines - The weekly boxing show Rod Nazario’s In This Corner opens the month of September with a blast as it airs the fourth installment in the frenzied rivalry between Danilo Peña and Richard Olisa.
The 12-round fight, presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Biogenic Isopropyl Alcohol and Petron and shown over NBN-4, 7-8 p.m., is for the Philippine super-flyweight championship held by Peña.
The latest face-off between Peña and Olisa took place just last Aug. 28 in Binangonan, Rizal.
Peña, known as the “Pitbull” from Catbalogan City, Samar, had Olisa’s numbers as he won two of their first three fights.
Their initial encounter ended up in a draw.
