MANILA, Philippines - Manila Congressman Benjamin “Atong” Asilo and former Philippine Sports Commission chair Philip “Popoy” Juico head the guests in today’s SCOOP Sa Kamayan weekly session at the Kamayan Restaurant-Padre Faura.
Asilo, who has earned another term as representative of the city’s First District in the Lower House, will spell out his program in helping promote and develop boys baseball and girls softball in Manila following his designation as the MLLC chair.
Juico, who will be appearing in a sports forum for the first time since his stint in the PSC, will be discussing his immediate plans in reappearing in the local sporting scene.
Asilo will be accompanied by officials and members of Manila Big League girls softball team, headed by head coach Filomeno “Boy” Codiñera and engineer Robert Evangelista, which will compete in the World Series for 16-18 years early next month in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Eminent lawyer Sammy Estimo, who will be with Juico as guest, will talk on latest development on the inheritance claim of a Filipina daughter of the late chess wizard Bobby Fischer.
