MANILA, Philippines - The MCC kiddies (12-under) and Open standard chess tourneys will be held on July 31-Aug. 1 at Jollibee-Times Plaza on UN corner Taft Ave., Manila.
Both categories will use the five-round Swiss System format with the tourney set July 31 using the 90 minutes time control throughout the five games.
The Aug. 1 tournament will apply short time control in the first three rounds and 90 minutes in the last two games.
A total cash prize of P20,000 will be up for grabs with the Open champion winning P4,000 and the kiddie champ P2,000.
