MANILA, Philippines - Balls Channel, the official broadcaster of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, will telecast live the closing ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa on Monday, starting at 12 a.m., with the final match between Spain and the Netherlands to be aired at 2 a.m.
Through Balls Channel’s month-long live coverage, Filipino World Cup fans witnessed the highlights, drama and controversies in the world’s biggest and most-watched sporting event.
Sports fans watched 64 exciting matches featuring the world’s top 32 football nations. Although Spain has struggled early in the World Cup, it worked its way to the top by beating Germany for a crack at the coveted crown.
The Netherlands, on the other hand, swept all their games on the way to the finals.
While the coverage of the closing ceremony starts at 12 a.m., the Wold Cup finals will be telecast starting at 2 a.m. The Spain-The Netherlands match will be telecast live both on Balls Channel and Studio 23.
