Logremara Cup tees off

MANILA, Philippines - The Lopez, Quezon Province Greater Manila Residents Association (Logremara) is holding it 5th Logremara Golf Cup for charity at the Alabang Country Club today.

Executive Secretary and National Golf Association of the Philppines president Leandro Mendoza has been invited to be the guest of honor and lead the ceremonial flight in the benefit organized by golf-loving Lopezenos and their friends for Logremara’s various charities and projects. 

Logremara president Anneli Lontoc announced that tee-off time is 9 a.m. in the event using the System 36 format, while registration begins at 8 a.m.

Lontoc added that entry fee is P3,500, inclusive of green, and caddies fees, lunch, dinner and raffle, which will be held during the awarding ceremonies after the tournament managed by Team Ventures.         

Those who are unable to participate in the golfest can attend the awards dinner, including the raffle, for a donation of P750, Lontoc said.

On the other hand, Logremara director Emmet Penson announced that P50,000 will be up for grabs for golfers who score a hole-in-one on the par three hole No. 8. 

Lontoc thanked the Philippine Charity Sweeptakes Office, Stradcom, Eastern Petroleum, Office of Transportation Security, DPSPI, Ausphil Tollways, NGAP and Unilab, among others, for supporting the golf meet for a cause.

Proceeds of the Logremara Golf Cup will go to the association’s scholarship trust fund and its annual medical, dental outreach project, she added.

To date, Logremara has had 19 scholars who have so far passed their individual professional licensure examinations while the last medical/dental mission in Lopez, Quezon had over 3,000 patients.
