MANILA, Philippines - Indonesia remains the biggest threat to RP’s bid to regain supremacy as the 2010 Asian Karting Open Championships stages its kickoff leg set June 11-13 at the Carmona Racetrack.
Six Indonesians will be seeing action in the 34-man field in the Formula Open class as they go up against ace Filipino bets in this event sponsored by Yokohama, Red-White Racing Indonesia, Magnolia Purewater, Petron, San Miguel Corporation, Vivere Hotel, Department of Tourism, Philippine Sports Commission, Pagcor Sports, Aeromed and Motorstar.
All participants are urged to join the drivers’ briefing tomorrow, at 6 p.m., at the Vivere Hotel in Muntinlupa.
Last year’s junior champion Mohammed Sharif Rahardjo of Kanaka Racing Team will banner the Indonesian campaign as he guns for the Formula 125 Open Seniors crown.
