Tsui braces for Asian Karting Open

MANILA, Philippines - Upcoming star CJ Tsui hopes to dish out fine form when he competes in the Asian Karting Open Championships (AKOC) slated June 12-13 at the Carmona Racing Track in Carmona, Cavite.

The 15-year-old Tsui, racing out of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, is one of the talented karters to have come out of the ranks. He saw action in four events under the Formula SL Novice series the last six months, churning out a couple of runner-up finishes in the Magnolia Purewater Super Karting Series at the Boom Land and Carmona race tracks.

He is currently running second overall in points in the year’s karting championship and has been tipped as a future race car driver champion.

To further hone up his skills and polish his talent, Tsui hooked it up with JP Tuason of the Tuason Racing School under its TRS Race Career Management Program.

The program aims to take young drivers quickly through the lower ranks of kart racing and get them into Real Race Cars as quickly as possible.

TRS takes a wholistic approach to race training by looking at all aspects of what a young driver will need – from race coaching, physical training, equipment management, technical support, driver promotion, personality development and sponsorship.

Tsui’s goal is to succeed in kart racing thru competition, training and experience and eventually compete in real car racing and become a champion racer.
