PSN fun run unfolds at MOA

MANILA, Philippines - The first Pilipino Star Ngayon Fun Run for a Cause fires off today at the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City with close to 3,000 runners clashing for top honors in various divisions.

Organizers of the event said the vaunted Kenyan runners have joined the event, easily making them the favorites to dominate the centerpiece 10K run.

The event, held to raise funds for the Adopt-A-School project via “Bigay Todo sa Pagtakbo,” also features the 3K and 5K races.

Cash prizes and fabulous items are at stake in the event backed by Globe, SM Mall of Asia, Pilipino Star Printing, The Philippine STAR, Western Ink, The Real Bank, Wheat Grass, Microtel Hotels & Resorts, San Mig Coffee, Top Nine, Premier Adhesive, Nestle Milo, Pan Pacific Manila, Diamond Hotel, R.O.X., Chris Sports and media partners PM, the Freeman and Banat.

The San Isidro Elementary School in Naguilian, La Union, one of the hardest hit schools in the north by Typhoon Pepeng last year, will be the event’s main recipient.
