MANILA, Philippines - Registration for the ninth Forest Hills Invitational Tournament, one of the most-awaited member-guest events in the country, has started with only 150 slots to be filled.
Presented by Golforce and Hyundai, the all-amateur, four-day event tees off on April 22 with each team to play 36 holes and with championship trophies to be given out in three divisions.
Format for the first 18 holes will be net four-ball stroke play using the stableford method of scoring, with the final round combining medal scores of each member to make up the total team score.
Pagcor Parañaque and Sumitomo Chemicals are also backing the event, which has enjoyed renowned success under the stewardship of Forest Hills general manager Romy Carlos and golf manager Andy Maglipon.
Champions in the low gross and low net divisions will also be named with the Raffy Garcia-Jaime Fernandez and Pelagio Alcantara-Ed Gaspi squads seeking repeats.
The Turf Company, Taishan Insurance Brokers Phils., Inc., Hyundai, Midori Saisho Corp/Kart Plaza and Sports Specialist Worldwide, Inc. are hole-in-one sponsors.
