MANILA, Philippines - The Congressman’s Team and Minero put together two solid rounds to fashion out contrasting victories in their respective divisions in the 22nd Camp John Hay Suites Philippine Corporate Cup at the John Hay Golf Club in Baguio City late Thursday.
Romy Tio came away with a closing 54-point output after a 46 to anchor Congressman’s Team’s romp in Group I, finishing with 297 Molave points for a 10-point victory over Ricoh Phils., which had a 287.
Dipza Realty settled for third with a 271 followed by Team Asap (267), Esicor Fairways and Bluewater (267), CJH Manor I (263), Calamba Doctors Hospital I (258) and Fagioli Coffee Club (253).
Other members of the Congressman Team were Rudy Lockey (46-48), Morris Domogan (54-48) and Mars Garcia (47-48).
Ricoh Phils. had a 142 and a 145 for a 287 with Roger Crespo firing 51 and 50 points, Cocoy Sulaik scoring 50 and 42 in the event sponsored by Camp John Hay Manor, Rudy Project, Warbird Securities and Investigation Agency, Inc., Golforce, Le Chef, Rizgolf Sports Marketing, Poblador, Bautista and Reyes Law Offices and Federal Management and Maintenance, Inc.
Minero hung tough with a 132 for a 264 as it eked out a three-point victory over Shakey’s (133-261) in Group 2 of the annual event backed by CJH Dev’t Corp. and Boracay Sands.
